Safety Instructions

WARNING! To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, serious injury, or death: Do not let power cord hang over edges or touch hot surfaces. Extension cords not recommended. Do not remove brew basket or carafe while brewing. Do not use carafe with loose/weakened handle. Do not clean carafe with abrasive cleansers. Appliance creates hot liquid; handle with care. Do not remove vessel while running without Drip Stop closed; return quickly and open to continue brew. Only fill water reservoir up to Max Fill line with fresh, cool, filtered water; no other liquids. FCC compliant as Class B digital device.

Installation

Place brewer on dry, clean, level surface. Insert brew basket: Slide until slight click; align front/back slots if reinserting (remove obstructions like grounds; insert at upward angle). Remove water reservoir: Hold grip, twist counterclockwise. Fill reservoir to Max Fill line (not exceeding) with fresh, cool, filtered water.

  1. Plug into 120V grounded outlet.
  2. Set clock using hour/minute buttons.
  3. Run water-only cycles to prime system.

Electrical: 120V, 60Hz; no extension cords.

Filter Usage

Use #4 cone paper filters or permanent filter. Insert into brew basket. Add medium-ground coffee (use included scoop: 1 scoop per cup for Classic; more for Rich). Do not overfill to avoid overflow.

CAUTION! Use medium grind; fine grounds may clog. Rinse basket after each use.

Brewing Coffee

  1. Fill reservoir with fresh water up to desired line.
  2. Insert filter, add grounds to basket.
  3. Select brew size on dial, open Drip Stop.
  4. Place vessel under basket; select brew type and press Start.

Brew times vary: ~3-5 min per size. System pre-warms for hotter second pours. For Over Ice: Pre-fill vessel with ice. Pause mid-brew by closing Drip Stop.

CAUTION! Ensure Drip Stop open; otherwise, brewing pauses.

Care & Cleaning

After each use: Rinse brew basket and carafe. Wash with warm, soapy water if obstructed. All removable parts dishwasher-safe (top rack).

WARNING! Unplug before cleaning; allow to cool. Avoid abrasives.

Descaling

When Clean light on: Fill reservoir with descaling solution or white vinegar (1:1 water). Place empty carafe; press Clean button. Run cycle (~90 min). Rinse with 2-3 fresh water cycles.
