Installation

Place on dry, clean, level surface. Lift reservoir using grips, fill with fresh tap water to minimum fill line (do not overfill or use other liquids), replace by angling into holder and pushing to lock. Slide out brew basket, insert permanent or #4 paper filter. Twist brew-through lid onto carafe. Center carafe under basket. Plug into outlet. For first use: Run two full carafe water-only cycles, then Clean cycle (press CLEAN; discard water each time).

  1. Plug into grounded 120V outlet.
  2. Fill reservoir and run priming cycles.
  3. Set clock using hour/minute buttons.

Set Delay Brew: Prepare setup, press Delay Brew, adjust time with hour/minute, press Start (up to 24 hours). Drip Stop: Toggle open for brewing, close for pouring (audible if closed during brew). Stay Warm: Auto-off after 2 hours; press to turn off manually. Frothing: Hold button 30-45 seconds.

Brewing Coffee

  1. Fill reservoir to minimum for selected size.
  2. Add medium-ground coffee to filter (max 12 tbsp/6 scoops).
  3. Select size on dial, place vessel (min sizes: 12 oz. cup, 14 oz. XL Cup, 16 oz. travel mug, 20 oz. XL Multi-Serve).
  4. Open Drip Stop, choose brew type, press Start.

Brew times: 4 min cup, 8 min carafe. Pre-heat mug for hotter coffee. For Over Ice: Fill vessel with ice, stir to cool. Specialty: 4 oz. concentrate for drinks. Cafe Forte: 8 oz. rich black. Frothing: Microwave milk 45-60 sec, submerge whisk, hold button 30-45 sec.

CAUTION! Use medium grind; do not exceed amounts to avoid overflow.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug and cool before cleaning. Close Drip Stop. Wash permanent filter (or discard paper), brew basket, frother whisk (dishwasher top rack for whisk/lid/carafe/filter/reservoir). Wash carafe/lid with soap/warm water or top-rack dishwasher (soft brush, no abrasives). Wipe machine with damp soapy cloth; clean reservoir/shelf/showerhead with bottle brush. Do not immerse base. Rinse carafe after use; empty unused water. Clean weekly.

WARNING! Unplug before cleaning; allow to cool. Avoid abrasives.

Descaling

When CLEAN light illuminates: For carafe size, fill reservoir to Max (43 oz.) with descaling solution or vinegar to Travel Mug line + water to Max. Press CLEAN (pauses 1 hour, then discharges). Empty carafe/reservoir. Refill with fresh water, press CLEAN for flush (8 min). Repeat if light persists. Use only white vinegar.

  1. Prepare solution in reservoir.
  2. Press CLEAN; wait for cycle.
  3. Rinse with water cycle; repeat if needed.

Troubleshooting
