Installation

Wash removable parts (reservoir, carafe, brew basket, frother whisk) in warm soapy water or dishwasher top rack. Place on level surface near 120V outlet. Fill reservoir with water to MAX, run water-only brew cycle on Cup size to clean system; discard water. Set clock using hour/minute buttons.

  1. Plug into grounded outlet.
  2. Prime with water cycle.
  3. Set clock for Delay Brew if desired.

Electrical: 120V, 60Hz; no extensions.

Filter Usage

Use included permanent gold-tone filter. Insert into brew basket. Add medium-ground coffee (1-2 scoops per serving; more for Rich/Specialty). Rinse after each use. Optional #4 paper filters for less sediment.

CAUTION! Use medium grind to prevent overflow; do not use fine grounds.

Brewing Coffee

  1. Fill reservoir with fresh water (do not exceed Max Fill).
  2. Insert filter with grounds into basket.
  3. Select brew size on dial, brew type, place vessel (carafe/mug).
  4. Press Start; brewing pauses at Drip Stop for pour-over.

Brew times: 3-7 min. For Specialty (Concentrate): Use for iced or diluted drinks. Pre-warms for hotter second pours.

CAUTION! Place vessel before starting; do not remove during brew.

Frothing Milk

  1. Add milk to cup (up to 1/2 full).
  2. Hold cup under frother whisk.
  3. Press froth button; whisk rotates to create foam (30-60 sec).
  4. Remove whisk; pour frothed milk into brewed coffee for lattes.

For hot frothed milk: Use steamed milk option if available. Clean whisk after each use.

CAUTION! Use non-dairy or low-fat milk; avoid overfilling to prevent spills.

Care & Cleaning

After each use: Rinse reservoir, basket, carafe under warm water. Wash with soapy water; dishwasher-safe (top rack). Wipe exterior. Weekly: Run full Clean cycle.

WARNING! Unplug before cleaning; allow to cool. No abrasives.

Descaling

Monthly for hard water: Fill reservoir with descaling solution or 1:1 vinegar-water to Max. Place empty carafe; press Clean (runs ~90 min). Rinse with 2-3 water cycles.
