Installation

Unpack unit. Wash all removable parts in warm soapy water or dishwasher. Fill reservoir with water to MAX line. Run water-only brew cycle to flush system. Discard water.

  1. Place on flat, level surface near outlet.
  2. Plug into 120V grounded outlet.
  3. Prime by running clean water cycle.

Electrical: 120V, 60Hz; no extension cords.

Filter Usage

Use #4 cone paper filter or permanent gold-tone filter (sold separately, model 105KNK80). Insert into filter holder in brew basket. Add medium-grind coffee (1 scoop per cup). Do not use both filters together.

CAUTION! Use medium grind; fine grounds may cause overflow.

Brewing Coffee

Care & Cleaning

After each use: Rinse filter holder, carafe. Weekly: Run Clean cycle. All removable parts dishwasher-safe.

WARNING! Unplug before cleaning; allow to cool.

Descaling

Run monthly or if brew time exceeds 15 min. Fill reservoir with descaling solution or vinegar (1:1 water). Run Clean cycle (press Clean button, wait for beep). Rinse with water cycles.

  2. Add solution to reservoir.
  3. Press Clean; run full cycle.
  4. Rinse 2-3 times with fresh water.
