Safety Instructions

WARNING! To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, serious injury, or death: Read all instructions before use. For household use only. Do not immerse cord, plugs, or body in water. Unplug when not in use or before cleaning. Do not use with damaged cord or plug. Operate on clean, dry, level surface. Avoid hot surfaces; use handles. Do not open brew chambers during brewing or cleaning to prevent scalding. Always place vessel under brew basket. Fill reservoir with water only, up to Full line; do not overfill. Do not run without water. Use only #4 paper cone or permanent filter with grounds. For Pod Adapter: Do not put fingers inside (contains needles). For Carafe: Do not microwave, use on burners, or clean with abrasives; do not use if cracked or handle loose. Supervise children; keep out of reach. No extension cords. Clean weekly to prevent bacterial growth.

Installation

Wash removable parts in warm soapy water. Place on clean, dry, level surface near 120V outlet. Install Adapter Storage on back. Set clock: Press HR/MIN to adjust. For high-altitude: Run calibration cycle. Prime: Fill reservoir to Full with water, run Full Carafe Classic (no coffee), discard water, rinse carafe.

Plug into grounded 120V, 60Hz outlet.
Set clock and install storage.
Run priming cycle to flush system.

Controls and Settings

Brewing Coffee

Grounds: Insert #4 filter in brew basket, add medium-ground coffee per chart, place Grounds Adapter, close lid, select size/style, place vessel, open Drip Stop, press Start.

Pods: Place Pod Adapter in basket, insert pod (press bottom for high-altitude), close lid, select size/style, press Start.

Fill reservoir with fresh water.
Prepare grounds or pod; install adapter.
Select size, style, vessel; open Drip Stop; press style button.
Monitor progress bar; beeps when done.

CAUTION! Do not open during brewing. For Over Ice: Pre-fill vessel with ice.

Care & Cleaning

After each brew: Rinse brew basket, adapters, carafe, and reservoir. Wash with soap/water; dishwasher-safe (top rack except Pod Adapter). Clean Pod Adapter needles with paperclip. Wipe exterior with damp cloth. Flush system weekly with water-only cycle.

WARNING! Unplug before cleaning; allow to cool. Clean weekly.

Descaling

When Clean indicator lights: Fill reservoir with 16 oz. vinegar + water to Full (or descaling solution). Place empty carafe; press Clean (75 min cycle). Rinse with 2 full water-only cycles (Full Carafe Classic).

Prepare descaling solution.
Run Clean cycle.
Rinse thoroughly.

Descale every 3-6 months or as indicated.

Troubleshooting
